The  decision taken by Odisha Government to recruit management  students for state run PSU is highly appreciable. This will obviously  bring corporate culture .But a cloud of criticism looming around it as none of the state-run Universities were not selected for campus drive.  The selected institutions are XIMB, IMI BBSR, IIM Raipur, IIT Kharagpur & IPEH whose performane records are far better than OUAT and Utkal University.

This is an competitive world and for better performance of organization you need smart , hardworking and performing managers. Though OUAT & Utkal University have good track record of campus selection in last five years, but it is still lags far behind in terms of good teachers, quality teaching and  infrastructure. So when u have option of getting  students from better institution, why one should run behind state run  universities. Thus Instead protesting,  these universities should strive hard  to come to  forefront and put their name in list of elite institutions so as later on they will not find any problem relating to either campus recruitment or different government grants.

Secondly, the organizations which are taking part in recruitment are IPICOL, OPTCL, GRIDCO, OHPC, IDCO. Out of these OPTCL , GRIDCO & OHPC does not require students of agri-management while other two may take. On the other hand IPICOL & IDCO may recruit students of Personal Management and Industrial Relation depending upon the vacancy. So, instead of having limited departments, these universities should diversify their area of courses  so that recruiters will have options to take students from different areas of management .

On the other hand i would also like suggest  the Govt. of Odisha to recruit management students for their different departments like agriculture, energy, excise etc for better bureaucracy  which  take odisha from Developing state to a Developed state.
